Review by hotel critic
I recently stayed at Suvretta House during my Alpine getaway, and I must say, the experience was truly top-notch. The hotel exudes a regal aura that instantly transports you into a scene from a movie. The spa area, complete with a hot tub on the snow, was a definite highlight, offering the perfect opportunity to unwind after a day of exploring the surrounding natural beauty. The service at Suvretta House was a mix of highs and lows. While the concierge, front office, and housekeeping staff were commendable, the waiters came across as a tad pretentious, perhaps aiming to cater only to the elite clientele. Nevertheless, the overall service was consistent and left little room for complaint. The room itself was cozy and well-appointed, with a balcony that offered stunning views of the lake. The breakfast spread was delectable, and the included amenities like the fresh fruit plate and lift ticket coverage added value to the stay.In terms of luxury and value, Suvretta House definitely leans towards the luxury end of the spectrum. While the experience comes with a price tag, the impeccable service and breathtaking surroundings make it worth considering for a special occasion or a treat-yourself getaway. If you're seeking a truly indulgent Alpine experience, Suvretta House should be on your radar.
